Oshi no Ko Season 2 announces release date with new key visual and trailer

On Sunday, May 26, Anime Expo 2024 revealed exciting new details about the second season of “Oshi no Ko.” During the event, the release date was confirmed, accompanied by a striking key visual and an engaging trailer. Fans can mark their calendars for Wednesday, July 3, 2024, when the new season will premiere. The previous season ended with Aqua and Akane beginning their relationship, and both of them, along with Kana and other characters, were cast in a 2.5D drama adaptation of the popular manga “Tokyo Blade.” This set the stage for the much-anticipated 2.5D Stage Play Arc that will be the focus of Season 2.

On Sunday, May 26, 2024, the Oshi no Ko Anime Expo 2024 announced the release date for Season 2 of “Oshi no Ko.” The eagerly awaited second season is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 11 pm JST, airing on TOKYO MX and ABEMA. This announcement was accompanied by a captivating key visual and an exciting new trailer.

The key visual showcases the characters dressed in their costumes for the 2.5D Stage Play, setting the tone for the upcoming storyline. Notably, it also features Ruby Hoshino and Mem-Cho, who will play significant roles in the new season, even though they won’t be participating in the stage play itself.

The trailer for “Oshi no Ko” Season 2 offers a glimpse into the upcoming story arc, with a significant focus on the rehearsals for the 2.5D Stage Play. These rehearsals become particularly dynamic and lively when Taiki Himekawa joins in. Additionally, Melt Narushima is set to share a noteworthy moment with his former acting partner, Kana Arima.

The new season will also introduce two fresh characters to the series: Goa and Abiko Samejima. Goa will be voiced by Daisuke Ono, known for his roles as Sebastian Michaelis in “Black Butler” and Kudo in “My Hero Academia.” Abiko Samejima will be voiced by Ayane Sakura, who has previously voiced Minami Fuyuki in “Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable!” and Ochako Uraraka in “My Hero Academia.
